I had come in with my third bout of a cold of the season with a recommendation of a breathing treatment and steroids from the Intermountain App. When I told the doctor what the PA told me on the phone, he scoffed (!) at her opinion and proceeded to tell me to try to take a Claritin every day for awhile to "see if it helps." I have a long history of bronchitis and when I went to another physician (at Tanner Clinic -- very awesome) a week later I still had a fever and turns out I had Walking Pneumonia! I'm grateful that the other doctor helped me, but I had already bruised my ribs by this point. So much for preventative care, Intermountain.

I'm giving "Doctor" Spencer a one star becaue there's no option for zero stars. I was victim in a car accident a couple years ago that crushed my spine and since then I live in extreme pain. I have been hospitilizec multiple times, and even had to submit to back surgery. My family and I moved here from California and we were trying to find a new primire physician, so we called Intermountain and scheduled an appointment with this gentleman for today. My wife was very specific during the call to make sure this was the right doctor and that he would be able help me with my pain, and we were assured he would be perfect. So we waited a whole week for the appointment, and after being checked in by a very unhappy nurse and grumpy staff we were taken to the room. While the nurse was filling the paperwork she asked why I was visiting the doctor today, and I told her my history and that I was also in extreme pain since I ran out of medication. She then stopped me and said that Doc. Spencer doesnt prescribe narcotics. I was literally confused, what do you mean a doctor doesn't prescribe pain medication? I asked her if that was Intermoutain's policy or the doctor's, and she didnt answer. She tried to excuse and say she was sorry but i asked again, twice and she didn't answer again, but for what she explaineid it was obviously Doc. Spencer's policy. Well that was a waste of time. I dont know what kind of doctor doesnt prescribe pain medication but if thats what you need go to a different doctor. The nurse went out to talk with him, but he didnt even bothered to come see us and explain his reasons. We were 100% unimportant to him and his staff. So yes, spend your precious money and time somewhere else, not "Doctor" Spencer.

I went into the Instacare to get help with a bad cut on my arm. He gave me the option of Dermabond or stitches and I chose derma bond. He didn't let the glue dry long enough so the deep cut split open again and then the glue dried. So now, 2 weeks later, the glue comes off and I have a crater scar in my arm! It looks worse than when I went in with the original cut! I gave him 2 stars instead of 1 because he was a nice guy, and took the time look at it the next day when I went in and addressed my concerns. But I'm still going to get a nice bill for something that was poorly done. Wish I would have skipped going to instacare for this:(

Do not go to this doctor. I went to him on a Friday, he took blood, and just had his nurse call me Monday and say the results were normal. That's it! I went to another doctor who took a lot of blood to run numerous tests, come to find out I have a serious Autoimmune Disease. Had Dr. Spencer taken the time to find out what was wrong with me, I could have been treated sooner. If you have to go to this facility, I would recommend Dr. Mike Nielsen, or go to my current doctor, Dr. David Butters, he is right next to the Davis Hospital.
