Due to insurance we needed to find a new primary care giver. I appreciated the friendliness and how thorough that Dr. McGrath and her staff were. They spend time getting to know me as a new patient and it was very easy to schedule an appointment.

I've always had a positive experience with the staff and Dr. Mc Grath. They are helpful and compassionate and truly care.

Dr. McGrath and her staff are highly unprofessional and unethical. I was in the process of moving when I went in for flu-like symptoms (I had these symptoms for over 5 days) as well as to get a refill on my prescription for a condition I have in my lower back. I am a human being and made a mistake and packed away my new insurance card and had not realized that until I had arrived to the office. I was told by the receptionist (I will call her skunk head, because that's what her dye job reminded me of) that they may not be able to take me as a patient because I had forgotten my insurance card. I had been going to Rosemary for about ten years at this point and they were going to DECLINE me services because I misplaced ONE of my TWO insurance cards (I have two different insurance policies). I told them to just put it on my secondary and I would deal with it; they refused. I finally was able to convince them I would fax them my insurance information within 48 hours, then everything was 'okay'. The nurse practitioner was very nice and welcoming. Rosemary McGrath was NOT. She was rude and did the generic looked in my ears and throat, and I was given a strep test. I was given the rapid test where they could see results right away as well as a culture that they would send in to have inspected. Rosemary also refused to refill my prescription based on the fact that she FELT like I was too young to take medication for my back. I'm too young for back surgery, not to swallow a pill every two weeks. Angry because I was still ill and my back still hurt, I left. On my way out, I heard the nurse practitioner ask Rosemary if she should send in my strep test to be evaluated. She said NO. I had a swollen throat and painful cough for two weeks after I had visited this "doctor". Today I got a bill in the mail. My insurance didn't "go through" AKA skunk head didn't do her job; I sent in my insurance card back and front. AND I was billed for a strep test they never even had evaluated. This "facility" couldn't have made me more happy to move and never have to go to Mokena Family Physicians ever again.
