Non-pushy dentist who does his job and isn't constantly suggesting or recommending expensive and elective procedures. Doesn't feel the need to have lengthy conversations while crowding dentistry implements in your mouth. :-) Friendly staff and appointments are on schedule (not stuck forever in waiting room!). We also appreciate having a decent dentist within walking distance from our home.

decent dentist, however TWO separate extra charges because his billing staff cant figure out my insurance and lack the initative to call my insurance company to see what they are doing wrong. At the time of this writing, The Dentist, according to the insurance company, owes me a refund of $35, and I should ignore the current $95 dollar bill.

My husband and I both go to Dr. Nykamp and are pleased with the care we've received from both Dr. Nykamp and Dawn, the hygienist. We also appreciate the convenient Alger Heights location.

The staff are very loud, unprofessional, and rude. They give their patients the wrong information. They almost extracted the wrong tooth. They tend to lose important information . They do not make patients feel comfortable, and are always asking if you arrive earlier, why.
