Story

Fernando Drago was born in Long Island NY and raised in South FL. For the past 28 years Fernando had worked in the construction field by trade while all along food being his 1st passion!! His father was a Chef in NY and taught Fernando many of his Sicilian/Cuban recipes. Fernando has worked in various restaurants both on the East & West Coast of Florida.. His goal was to someday have a place of his own. In May 2015 his dream came true taking over the old "Bradentown Scoop" location, Fernando states "I am truly blessed to be part of this amazing community here in Bradenton, FL I want to create a place where everyone that comes in leaves feeling like family"

Awesome place. The owner, Drago, is incredibly friendly and always stops by our table to say hi. Coffee is simply wonderful (I recommend the Manhattan express if you want to try something different). The food is absolutely incredible. Everything is packed with flavor. We’ve never had a meal that we weren’t floored by. Since discovering this place, we eat here 2-3 times a week.

This visit was a return visit after a great first experience. We were not disappointed this time around either! Fernando Drago, the owner, remembered us from a few months ago and again treated us, and all the other costumers, as family. Cuban sandwiches were incredibly delicious and his meatballs are to die for! Locally made, quality ingredient ice cream to top it off, we will return to see Fernando every time we are in town!!

Excellent quality food, friendly waitress and owner.  Menu is limited and a bit overpriced for Bradenton.  I had the Cuban and its the best I EVER had.

Drago is the consummate host, inviting, friendly, and conversational. Food portions are very generous, mojo pork is delicious, and the affogato is a decadent treat. Sandwiches are not pressed, but in the opinion of this Cuban, it doesn't change the smile on my face after eating one. Try the chimmi aioli and the Russian chipotle aioli.
