I love this public park, it's right down the street from my apartment, and it is a great place to chill in the neighborhood. Family friendly and there is a skateboard ramp and handball court next to the recreation center.

It has a bit of activity, but seems to be fairly safe for children, police patrol regularly, they have plenty of activities for the youngsters. On the edge of the park is the historical Bembridge house.

Great new turf field, walking path, open space and practice fields. Old area renewed for the public to enjoy.

They have beautiful new artificial turf fields, but they don't let anyone onto them. There's a twelve foot fence around them, with no shade for 100 yards. So all the neighborhood teams are playing on the field up above, which the city landscape crews never water. The surface is crummy, potholes, dry brown grass, but at least families can sit on the sidelines in the shade with refreshments for the players. And subs who are about to run out onto the field are in shade while they catch their breath, not in withering hot direct sun. I hate to think how many million city dollars went into this situation, and how long we had to wait, and still the city refuses to take care of the good park it already has, but pours our money into a hot field nobody's allowed to use.
