Stopped in for lunch today. We each had a large rib end sandwich. I had mac and cheese, and Deb had fried okra. The sandwiches were great. The meat had a nice chewy texture and a great flavor. They were a generous size, and we brought some home for a snack later. The fried okra was really good! The mac and cheese was okay. It was nice and cheesy, but I would have liked it to be a little chewy, not soupy. Overall, it was a very good lunch.
The rack of ribs was tough and dry. The food selection is very limited, no brisket or burnt ends. Burger was just ok. Fried okra was a good side.Food: 2/5
Service is for the waitress who was going on 4 pm Shift. I ordered a slab and ate 2 while there. I didn't look through the box. Drove over an hour one way to get home to burned ribs. Called and spoke with manager Jeremy who said he'd adjust my bill for the 2 bones I ate. I hit the roof. What an insult. Then he said I could drive back for a replacement. I said how about you ship them This makes me know that the food tha should tbe tossed is being served Here goes another restaurant getting what they can get from customers without concern for quality. Also with that watered down sauce being served like they stretching ingredients with water. Dreamland has turned into a Nightmare. Poor ventilation, have to sit and smell like a pit cause they don't want to open the area away from the pit.
I’m highly disappointed. I’ve been craving rib tips from here for a while, and knowing they sell out quickly, I made sure to place my order early—at 11 AM on Uber Eats. The food arrived quickly, but when I opened it, I found pulled pork instead of rib tips. To make matters worse, my side order was wrong too. What frustrates me the most is that no one bothered to call or send a message to inform me of the mistake. I would’ve appreciated at least a heads-up, but there was no communication at all. It feels like they just don’t care, as long as they get their money. If I had transportation, I’d be at the restaurant right now to address this in person. To all the rib tip lovers out there: consider yourselves warned. This place is officially not it. I’d give zero stars if I could, but unfortunately, that’s not an option. Dreamland, you’ve lost a loyal customer. No attention to detail, no care for the customer, and certainly not the experience I was expecting.
Wonderful food and service. I ordered the ribs and the only problem was there was too much food. Highly recommend!Recommended dishesHalf Rack of Ribs, Creamy Coleslaw, Mac & Cheese
The 4 stars is in reference only to the vinegar sauce. I realize some people prefer that, I don't, but as far as v-sauce goes, it's not bad. The place was empty when I arrived which is crazy because the meat was amazing! I watched the pit master finishing up some gorgeous ribs, enjoyed sausage and pulled pork over really good cheese fries and can assure you this place should be packed. The pricing appears to reflect a going out of business sale, but the takeout business was brisk the whole time I was there. For dessert, I enjoyed pecan pie a la mode and would definitely recommend it. I washed it all down with excellent sweet tea. I will definitely be back!
Very amicable staff and ribs are already fabulous. My family and I love going there to eat. The fried okra is my favorite side. Parking: Lots of parking. No worries.
I visited the Roswell location. I'll start by saying it's a great atmosphere. Great service. The bar area is really cool. I'd go back for a beer. The food..... 1. The Ribs- although tasty and tender. It's more gristel & bone than meat. 2. The Fried Okra- good but a little bland 3. The Mac&Cheese- Ok... 4. The Fried Green Tomatoes- again good, but bland. Dipping sauce was good 5. The Pulled Pork- maybe it was the way it was cooked. Or the sauce on it but it was extremely salty with a bitter after taste. And unfortunately not as tender as the ribs. Overall the food was OK. Ribs were the best!
Excellent food and service! We had dinner there on Friday night and it was really great. Our server was very nice and the food came out almost instantaneously. I know this is an old establishment but the food quality seems to have kept pace over the years. That’s what BBQ is supposed to be - low key and focus on the food. The ribs were outstanding. I used very little sauce because they were so flavorful dry. Such a treat!
Stopped here for lunch on the way back from New Orleans. The atmosphere was great, service was good but the food was ok. The meat was room temperature and the ribs were a little tough. Fried okra was good. The portions were generous and the prices were very reasonable. However, was just expecting a little more since it was the 3rd top restaurant on Yelp for Montgomery.
