Oh boy. Spare yourself from these complete idiots! A Paranoid guard that acts like he is an FBI agent, yet mumbles every word, and a complete ignorant driver lic. employees. The supervisor Diane is not much smarter too. She contradicts herself 3 times in one sentence. These people have no clue what they are doing. What a joke!

Go across the parking lot to Mile High Driving school. They are actually professional in their conduct, they know what they are doing, and they will help you.

I liked that I was able to schedule an appointment online. The place was very busy when I got there but there are kiosks to check in. I was scanning my paper when a lady at the desk started askibg "are you checking in?" I assumed she was talking to someone next to me that already confused, because I was clearly checking in and was almost finished. She proceeded to shout it at me with attitude, I turned around and apologized that I didn't realize she was talking to me. She groaned and told me to come to her to check in... Even though my ticket was already printing. I am glad I didn't have to, since that is what the kiosks exist for. I had all the documents required so applying for a new license was easy enough. The picture took quite awhile, I sat for 30 minutes. Overall with an appointment on a Monday afternoon it took an hour. Clean facility with mostly friendly staff with the exception of the front desk.

My husband and I were SHOCKED!!!! This Office was Fabulous!!!!
We were in and out in less that 10 minutes.  EVERYONE was pleasant and helpful - Especially CANDACE who waited on me. The photo gals were friendly, too  We were amazed at how efficient they were. One gal ran three different cameras etc at once, without a pause.
 We don't understand any of the negative reviews. The Office was spic and span clean and, just as we entered, a VERY friendly gentleman greeted us, asked why we were there and when we told him we needed to renew my licence he went directly to the little machine and retrieved a little paper with a number on it for me. We no sooner took that piece of paper and headed to the chairs to wait, than my number was called. The lovely lady who helped me, CANDACE, was smiling, happy and at times fun! She was quick to go through all that was needed to renew and off I went to have my picture taken (which was HORRIBLE I might add). I didn't even get to sit and wait. I was up, had it taken and was out the door in less that 10 minutes.  My advice to all...go to this facility. It is clean, friendly and fast.

Though the posted hours online are 8 am - 5 pm, you are able to come in for Driver's License services starting at 7 am. I came in at 7:37 and was pulling out of the parking lot by 7:58 am. I was quickly greeted by the front desk attendant as soon I walked in, and she confirmed that I had the correct documents before I sat down to wait. I waited 2 - 3 minutes to be seen for the verification/payment process, and 1-2 minutes to take my photo. The employee who did the photos was very nice. This was, by far, the fastest and most pleasant CO DMV experience I've ever had. Not sure if things run as smoothly the later in the day/more crowded it gets - but arriving early, I had an excellent experience.

I was In & Out & impressed with the organization of each station however there are some motor vehicle employees that need another job & don't need to bring others into their miserable life!! CHEER-UP STAFF 😊 Overall I definitely will be referring this Lakewood Location!!
