Great little restaurant attached to the same plaza as the Sheraton Hotel in St. Louis, MO. If you love sushi, you've come to the right place! Their sushi is made to order, so you know it will be fresh! Well-presented, finely detailed, and outright delicious! Can't give high-enough marks! Staff is super-friendly and the prices are reasonable. A winner in my book!
A Westport staple. Today I ordered the lobster spring roll, philly cheese steak roll and the fried philly. Lobster spring roll was good but very greasy, it spent zero time de greasing and was smaller and honestly more expensive then before. All in all, still tasty! As far as the cheesesteak and fried philly, they were delicious! I know everything cost more now but these rolls that are already expensive, increased in price and got smaller. The vibe hasn’t changed from dance club background music, but the service is still top notch. For the price I’m hoping the rolls size will increase to the way they use to be. Still a great place to eat when you budget for it!
I enjoy the restaurant's atmosphere, and the staff is extremely helpful and friendly. In terms of food, I dislike it because it falls far short of the quality of authentic Japanese sushi that I have tasted in Japan.
It has been a long long time since I have been to a Drunken Fish. Tonight I came to the one at Westport and had a wonderful meal experience. Pictured is the spicy butterfly right and white tiger left. The wait staff were attentive and cheerful even though we ordered online at the table. Ordering online at the table was easy and fast.
Starting with, the waitress was very awkward. But, literally every other person there was a pleasure, so just our luck with this lady. 2nd, every expensive specialty role we got is a basic imitation crab role with a piece of real fish on top, it says crab on the menu, but it’s fake, prices are outrageous given this fact. I just paid $88 for my wife and I and they want 50 cents for a side of Sriracha… on a 5$ tab I get it, but seriously!!!? Overall, I would never go back, but I would recommend if you do to get a different waitress.
Extremely overpriced in comparison with the presented food. Groups of 5, we all ordered different things. The small miso soup was EXTREMELY SALTY. Inedible salty. We all sent back. And they still charged us for it, $4!!!! My friend that ordered noddles didn't finish his due to lack of taste. The other one found his sashimi too dry. These was my sushi roll. No way, not even in NYC or LA this is worthy $17! Fake crab, asparagus with a mix of tuna and mayo? Gonna discharge, at least give me real crabmeat then. Not this. No way.!!!!!!And that's what you get here overall. Our rolls were very plain and very expensive. I found the menu to have a lack of sushi variety. Not returning.
First time sushi experience. Totally impressed with food, atmosphere and service! Loved to experience. Our server, Mariion was fabulous. Very helpful, attentive and friendly.
BEWARE! I just ordered for lunch today and got a surprise!! A nice loooong piece of hair wrapped up in my sushi rolled and fried! N I actually ate some of it! I am DISGUSTED! And will NEVER eat here again!
PROS: Food was great. Recommend the chicken spring roll and the shrimp tempura entree imaged below. CONS: At the bar, you have to order a drink through a mobile site and/or app so the bartender can bring your drink to you which is awkward. Getting seated was also unorganized along with trying to place an order. TIPS: Bring a mask just in case.
My husband and I walked in on a Friday night 1/6/23 and was specially seated by the manager Jaime so we didn’t have to wait. She also served us and was excellent. I loved her recommendations and the food was so tasty. We haven’t been to Drunken Fish in a while and this was a great experience!
