Always a regular stop on our trips to Grand Marais. Friendly and helpful staff. Great book selection for the size. Makes a great retreat from the hustle of tourist crowds.

Bad customer service tried to buy a book but shopkeeper was too busy talking to a friend to ring us up.

A great local, independent store with competitive prices! Beautiful location right on the shore and helpful staff. Only been once on vacation, but it was well worth the stop.

This is just what an independent book store should strive to be; great setting in a quaint building, helpful friendly staff and a great selection of books.  My husband and I felt welcome from the moment when stepped in the door.  We wanted to chat with the staff about books and the local area and they realized that and talked to us, while I noted that other customers who seemed more interested in browsing quietly were acknowledged and help offered but left to explore at their own pace.   Thank you ladies for a step into a store that left me feeling peaceful just the way a good book(store) should.
