The Durham Fire Department (DFD) is responsible for protecting the quality of life for the residents and visitors of Durham by preventing loss of life and property through rapid response to emergency calls and fire prevention. The DFD ensures that the department achieves these goals through its daily operations and commitment to its mission and vision.
