It starts with a comfort consultant coming to your home with a laptop to scientifically design the system to match your needs. Next, trained installers take the most care in your home to keep it clean and do the proper installation and startup of your new system. Then, the follow up and completion of all paperwork in the office, making sure your complete satisfaction is met. Finally, our service department takes care of your new system by maintaining your comfort and efficiency year after year.

I'm perplexed about the negative reviews I've read on here because we had such a great experience from start to finish. Ken was very nice. He informed us that the furnace we previously had installed (by Sears technicians) was way too big for our small home. It wasn't about to regulate the temp because of this. The furnace would kick on, and shut off as soon as the house felt like it reached a comfortable temp. Our house would get cold soon thereafter, and the furnace would kick back on. It was constantly doing this, and our Nipsco bill was outrageous! We had a new unit installed via Ken's recommendations, and that made a world of difference. He even prepped the inner and outer areas for a new air unit, even though there was no guarantee that we would buy a new unit from him. We did end up purchasing the air unit from him a few years later. We were so appreciative and felt he was honest and upfront about everything. It was a much better experience than previous ones with other companies. Especially during the estimate phase!

A technician from Earl's came to my home for a furnace repair. I was told I needed a new furnace and the technician disabled the furnace and placed a "Danger...Do Not Operate" sticker it. I was told by the tech that he was required to do this by law. I agreed to meet with reps from Earl's the next day and set up an appointment to discuss my options. After some thought, I called Earl's and told a rep that I was going to get a second opinion. My thought process was that the furnace was running prior to the visit from the tech so perhaps the problem was misidentified or being overstated. I called Earl's and cancelled the appointment for the following day. Shortly afterwards, I received a call-back from an Earl's rep and was told if I didn't want to go the "new furnace route" they could just replace a part.......the upper limit switch. Of course, I chose the part replacement. After another visit and $287.00 later, I am told the furnace is good to go. However, it wasn't. The heat exchanger required a couple of attempts to start. This was a random occurrence though. I called a different HVAC company to look at the problem and after taking the cover off the heat exchanger chamber their tech asked me if I have had service performed on the furnace recently. I told her that I had service done recently by Earl's. The issue causing my current problem was due to the failure of the technicians from Earl's to reinstall a part within the chamber. Instead the part (a thin flat piece of sheet metal) was left lying on top of the air intake thus depriving the furnace of the necessary air flow to function properly. I called Earl's and reported this discovery. The individual I talked to on the phone apologized for my inconvenience, told me the techs will be informed accordingly, and then hung up. Kind of a fitting ending to a bad experience with Earl's The technician that corrected the problem works for Thorn Total Comfort. I recommend them (5 stars) and no longer recommend Earl's (1 star).

I called on 10-17-17 with a question about a thermostat, Lauren put me in touch with Ian who called me back within the hour, after i explained the issue i was told he would look into the issue & call me back the following morning with an answer. it is 10-24-17 as i am writing this and i have not received ant type of contact from anyone, guess i will go to berkheimer and get a new thermostat, the one i have is under warranty but it has to be handled by a trane dealer and since i can't get the company that installed the unit to service it or answer my questions about it i guess i'll take care of it myself. FYI ~ they made sure they contacted me on a daily basis when they wanted my $8500.00

Earl's saved the day for us when we really needed a hero! I was in the hospital preparing to give birth to our first child; it was about 9 am and they were expecting she'd come in the early evening. My husband decided to run home to get a change of clothes only to discover that the Carbon Monoxide monitor was going off in our house. Certainly, not an ideal situation given we were bringing an infant home in the next 24-48 hours. While he tried to figure out what might be happening, I got on the phone to call someone to look at our furnace. When I spoke with someone at Earl's and explained our unique situation, she sprung into action to help us. They got someone out and at our house to evaluate our furnace within 30 minutes of us calling. Amazing. As it turned out, our 30 year old furnace could not be repaired and would need to be fully replaced. Again, not ideal considering the timing of everything. Luckily though, Earl's continued to be amazing. The owner came out to the house a few hours after the technician left to evaluate what kind of system would be right for our house. He spoke to my husband and made a series of recommendations and helped us to make the right choice to replace our whole central air system. The most wonderful part of the whole situation though was when Earl's went out of their way to ensure that the heating system would be installed the next day allowing us to bring our baby home to safe, warm environment. I can't say enough about how fundamentally awesome Earl's was in helping us out in a really tight situation. I can't imagine any other company going so far out of their way to help a couple out. They are a family business and their commitment to their customers is clear. Not only did they go above and beyond in every way for us, the quality of the work was phenomenal. I definitely recommend the team at Earl's for any of your HVAC needs. We would use them again in a heartbeat (hopefully under less crazy circumstances!). Thank you, Earl's Team... you guys saved the day for us. You're fantastic!!

Ken is good, highly recommend taking his suggestions seriously. House has never heated/cooled better. They are prompt and professional for service calls as well.
