The worst customer service!!!. They don't deserve a star. My daughter bought a snow shovel for me as a Christmas gag gift last Friday. She went to return it today. Keep in mind that we had no snow and did not use the shovel between those 5 days. When I called, I was put on hold for a long while. When I called back, I asked to speak to the manager, Stephanie. She said that the shovel was a seasonal item and could not be returned. She said that there were signs by the cash register on the receipt. First, if the shovel is seasonal, we are still in the same season. Second, the receipt says that items can be returned with a sales receipt. The "nonrefundable" only appears on the line under the item bought. I don't think of shovel whether snow or dirt is seasonal. (How would a teenager know that a snow shovel is a seasonal item?????) She said that she could argue all day with me. She can also take the shovel and shove it her @ss. I am going back to the bigger chains were I don't have to deal with crappy individually owned stores.

Great hardware store like the ones I remember. Sadly, they’re hard to find these days. I needed a bolt with a really odd thread size. Asked for help, and was led right to the correct one in a jiffy. You never get that sort of service with the big name stores.

I love this Ace. When you buy a chainsaw or I assume other power equipment, you actually get a lesson in starting it / basic operation and safety. I could be wrong, but I don't think that you normally get that kind of service at The Despot. Also the staff here has given me lots of helpful tips and ideas.

I just love visiting this business. They are always helpful. I had to buy concrete today and they carried and loaded it in my car for me! So much better than Home Depot where you have to search and search for help or 10 employees pass you by before one of them ask if you need anything! Thanks Ace Hardware for continuing to give us that small town company feeling!
