Homey, friendly and delicious. Followed a sign from the highway on our road trip. Pleasantly surprised. Decor is like revisiting my childhood, vintage yet CLEAN, and the staff was very friendly. Food was fantastic. Will definitely return if we are ever passing through. Such a welcome change from chain restaurants!

Let me start this tribute to the East Greenbush diner by saying that no person has truly experienced fine cuisine until he or she has enjoyed a meal here. As soon as you walk through the door, you are treated as nothing short of royalty. All the waitresses are as accomodating and hospitable as they are gorgeous, which is saying quite a bit. Even better than the staff is the menu, extensive yet clear and concise. Every entree is culinary perfection, both in terms of taste and texture. The quality puts Michelin rated establishments to shame. I can only imagine where the professionals in the kitchen must have trained. 

To summarize, I would recommend the East Greenbush diner to anyone who feels like they are missing something in their life. I promise you, regardless of where you live or how much free time you have, a trip to the East Greenbush diner will be worth whatever travel costs you might happen to incur. It is the closest thing to heaven on earth that has existed or will ever exist. I would continue with this review, but I'm not sure the English language has the capacity to do it justice.

The food was delicious. It was a little over-priced. I recommend the crab cakes. It took more than 30 minutes for our table to receive  our food.
