I went into East Side Glatt in March to ask for price of food that was inside the glass and she said look at the sushi and she turned her back and started to talk to her other coworker that’s Asian and he ignored me also. Both of them are racist and unprofessional. I noticed they answer questions only to her culture if you are any other culture they will ignore you so you could leave. This is a diverse neighborhood we all deserve the same respect. Jesus in the Bible died for all humanity. I’m posting photos so you could see who they both are. This is a place you should not spend your money in go someplace else because you will always find other places that will respect you and have better food.
The food's OK/Good, depending, but male Asian "Staffer" is very rude, incompetent + abusive. Last month he overcharged me for item, I had to go back; Boss gave me refund. Today there wasn't the machine in store to process my card's payment + Butcher went ouside to street... to get it from his car. Then I was made to wait more after his return during its set-up/boot. I commented that I was in a hurry. Staffer in question invited me to return the food and leave store! P.S. I asked for kasha but upon my return home discovered he had given me kasha varnishkas! Time for me to boycott!
This is not just a kosher butcher, it is also a kosher takeout and sushi store. The cooked food is excellent. They have a wide range of foods available. I have tried many of their fiods and I am always very happy. Vegetarian options: While this is a meat establishment they have a nice amount of vegetable based offerings. Dietary restrictions: Kosher
Excellent longtime neighborhood favorite! Excellent meats and poultry and a lot of prepared foods. It’s so good, you’ll be yelling out the Creator’s name! All of your classic Ashkenazi foodie treats can be found here, though a couple of Sephardic foods are offered too. Note to Owners: Add more Sephardic food; Lachmagine, Sesame Chicken Bites, Yemenite Soup. Wishing East Side Glatt continued success in their excellent store! Be sure to stop by Moishe’s Bakery afterwards!
Nice neighborhood place with kosher meat and take-out. Now featuring fresh made kosher sushi. Expect real tuna and salmon, fake crab, and no other seafood. However they do a nice job within those constraints. Take out only. There is a new chef and he has updated the menu and improved the standards. Look for the new fish entrés and new side dishes. Dietary restrictions: Glatt kosher Parking: Fugetaboutit. It's Lower Manhattan and you thought there's parking?
Always greeted with a smile… I find the best salads and kosher meat here. I am a big fan of sushi so it is a treat to have chef Jason prepare a tasty seaweed roll with fresh spicy tuna and a crunchy topping…This place is a gem in the Lower East Side and I am thankful for it!Food: 5/5
What a wonderful place! Not only is everything fresh and delicious, but the people working there, the owner, Baruch is one of the kindest men in the world. Lenny, who delivers and Norit, who also works the front- all professional, helpful- in 2020 it’s rare to find a business where everyone cares about the customers. And their food, both prepared food, from Israeli salad , homemade kasha varniskas, cauliflower soufflé-fantastic. Even if you don’t live in neighborhood for great kosher food!
The fresh butcher on the LES, glatt kosher and always stocked. Has awesome take out food catering options and of course full refrigerators of poultry and meats. The staff is excellent and always looking to do nothing other than please its customers. They have great prices on family packs of chicken breasts and chop meat for large crowds.
Super friendly and delicious!Food: 5/5
