Story

This year’s theme, BIGGER IS BETTER, calls attention to our new opening day of the Fair – Friday, September 1 - making 9 days of fun and happiness! Take advantage of the extra day to find entertainment, food, and fun throughout the fairgrounds. The "Opening Day" parade will continue to be held on Saturday, September 2 at 10 am. The Fair ends with a bang on Saturday, September 9 with the Demolition Derby. Fairgoers can expect to find high quality entertainment all week long. A 16 County Fair which includes - Bannock, Bear Lake, Bingham, Bonneville, Butte, Caribou, Clark, Custer, Franklin, Fremont, Jefferson, Lemhi, Madison, Oneida, Power, and Teton.

This was one of the best state fairs I have attended. People were super friendly. Parking was easy and very accessible. Events were so much fun. For a "smaller town" fair, it was by far one of the most diverse and exciting fairs. It has great entertainment and great food vendors. Will definitely be attending every year that I am above ground.

I'm a vendor and I work the fairs and shows in four states. This is the best old-time state fair that we do. They have horse races, rodeos, tractor pulls and all kinds of fun activities plus the normal Fair stuff. Excellent food and good prices. I wish all the fairs we did we were this excellent. I love it :-)

You know, for all the hype about the East Idaho State Fair every September...there's something to it! Such an interesting array of vendors, performers, livestock, art, food, and more. I can't help but wonder where everyone comes from to be a part of this. Definitely worth the entrance fee to see what is beyond the front gates. Parking is worth paying for if you show up on the afternoon. And yes, whatever food vendor won the food trophy that year, buy from them, it'll be a good experience!

Great fun! A wonderful American experience! Fun rides, great food, wonderful exhibits. The bazaar is fun the o walk through to see new things. The animals are always a hit with the kids.
