Since 1950, EOMC has worked to provide quality healthcare throughout Southeastern Oklahoma. EOMC is a public non-profit entity overseen by a Board of Trustees appointed by the Leflore County Commissioners. Our goal is to efficiently provide comprehensive personal healthcare services by making available modern medical equipment, specialized medical services and medical knowledge which would be limited without proper facilities.

I came into this hospital with a 105 fever and the Doctor took care of me at once. They begin running lots of test and yes it took a while. But the nurse was very attentive and helpful. He did not leave me sitting alone for long. They found what was causing the fever. Gave me a shot of antibiotics and a prescription for some and let me leave once the fever was down significantly. They made me a deal that they would let me leave if i promised to get a motel room for the night. See I was traveling from Missouri to Texas. I did and I starting feeling better in about 48 hours.

I have had to deal with the place so many times in my life including having to have two children there.
I had one of my children at to avoid having to go to Poteau and now I live in Arkansas thank goodness because I'm preg again and will thankfully be having this child at sparks as well.
I'm not gonna say all the staff and doctors was bad at Poteau but the bad over rides the good that's for sure.
Just going to Poteau other than having a baby was bad because you could go in for something serious and if you didn't have a fever or high blood pressure they would send you home .
Then if you turned around and went to another hospital you would find out your appendix was about to explode .

This is literally the saddest excuse for a "hospital" I have ever seen. I take my 4 day old son to get lab work done (he's had blood drawn lots of times at competent hospitals, by competent nurses) they stick my son 3 times and send us on our way with no blood drawn at all. They had a lady from the lab and one from the nursery and neither of them knew what they were doing at all. The lab lady said she wanted to "stick" him and just let the blood run out. Totally unacceptable and God forbid my son actually have something wrong, they would never know because they can't even do their jobs. This is the biggest waste of funds spent on a medical facility. Shut the freaking place down already.

I have fought with these people for almost two years now. I have paid my bill. They turned it over to a collection agency AFTER I have paid my bill. Every time I go up there they say they will fix it but they still call me and so does the agency. This place was a piece of work before the new management and its even worse now. DO NOT GO HERE. I DON'T CARE WHAT YOUR ALIMENT IS! (I was having an allergic reaction) they will screw you over. Its filthy, poorly managed, and no one there has a shred of bed side manners.
