I still remember the day my once little boy Ben climbed into a firetruck here during a preschool field trip. It was so cool for him to be able to experience that. The moment he stepped into one of the firetrucks, his cheeks spread so wide. But more recently, a leak in our roof led to the house catching fire unexpectedly. We immediately called 911, and these guys showed up on a dime. Minimal damage occurred thanks to these everyday heroes. My boy Ben used to want to be a professional baseball, but now he is looking more avidly into Fire & Rescue careers. But overall, these guys deserve a massive amount of respect for the services they are always ready to provide any time of the day.

I found myself lost, with no working GPS and a horrible sense of direction. After several failed attempts, I finally pulled over and asked for help at station 71. Two firemen and a volunteer answered the door, with me close to tears. They were so welcoming and patient. They even gifted my daughter with a fire hat & treats and cleaned up a cut she had on her hand from earlier in the day. I felt so silly for bothering them and yet, they made me feel so welcomed. They'll be happy to hear that my daughter talked about the experience all evening long and wants to go back and visit one day. Thank you so much for taking the time....it was a big deal and one I won't soon forget. -Ophelia
