It's a locals dive bar, with good beer, a decent selection of liquor, video gambling, pool, and snacks. They even have frozen pizzas they will bake for you. Prices are great. If you want to lay low, chill and put back a few, bring your ID and have a great time.
This is a classic bar in Elgin. The atmosphere was great, service was excellent. They made two excellent margaritas for us that we both enjoyed.
Opens early. Stella only $5 I think. Talkative. Near bus transport center.
Not a trustworthy place. Not only do you not feel safe when being here but the people cannot be trusted. This fine establishment decided to collect money for my uncle's funeral cost/family expenses. He passed away suddenly when his gf left the home of a heart attack....... When going to collect the funds as the executor and family of my uncle we were told they were already collected. No family members picked up the collections and no further information could be provided. Tried to reach out to the manager more than 5 times and could not contact. Left my information for a call back and that never happened either. Nothing like kicking a family when they're already down.
This place is the lowest class bar I've ever been to. Typically, when someone offers to buy me a drink, and I'm friends with them, I let them. After doing this with an older friend of mine, the manager had the nerve accuse me of using him for his money. I would never do this with this friend. I love him and had plenty of money at the time. The bar is too low class to recognize common courtesy.
Nice little dive bar. Found it as we messed up the train schedule coming back from Medinah and enjoyed some beer and pool. Close to the casino so we walked over there for a bit then headed back to the bar for a last round before catching the right train back home. Definitely an old building which is cool. If I was ever near there again I would stop in.
I will never step foot in this place because of the bartender, Jamie. Me and some friends went into this place and he refused to serve my friend, who has been there many times. I understand if someone is drunk, but my friend was no where near intoxicated. . Jamie was very rude, and my friend will never go there again. It's to bad because I enjoy a good dive bar.
Excellent establishment that is perfect for drinking
could be that I'm biased because I grew up around the bar but now I am working here everyone around here is like family to me and if you are a good honest respectable wholesome person this bar is for you and you can join the family. we have two pool tables and gaming machines touchtunes jukebox free pool on Wednesdays and Sundays but you better be buying some drinks lol stop on by. Not to mention our new addition the Bitcoin machine.
The bar is okay but it has some really sketchy patrons. i finished a phone call before entering and two thugs came outside, lit up a joint, and starting questioning me because they "didnt recognize me." then they tried to surround and frisk me and even tried to open my jacket before saying it was okay to go inside. even after going in for a drink, i have no idea if they worked there or if they were just pretending to as an excuse to see if i was worth robbing. that's the only time in my life ive felt unsafe at a bar and im a dive bar enthusiast
