So beautiful. Like a completely different world compared to North Carolina, my home state. Huge interesting trees along the curvy road up ...the ocean views are breath taking. Just incredible.

My pic is a panorama from Ecola. I think it speaks for itself. There are also beautiful and peaceful hikes from Ecola to Indian and Crescent beaches. Neither is super difficult. Even though it's a steep hike at the end down to Crescent, it's not long. It only took my 7 min to hike up from the beach to the main trail, and I'm not in super good shape. One time on the hike to Crescent, I saw several elk roaming around. Incredible, and the hikes are equally gorgeous rain or shine.

The drive to get to Ecola point is a narrow winding road with many curves and hairpin turns. There are huge trees and ferns on both sides of the road and a few steep drop-offs. The road has a few big ruts and in some places doesn't seem wide enough for 2 cars, so just driving the mile and a half to get to the fee station is a bit of an adventure. The admission was $5 fee per car. The Ecola point parking lot was shortly after the fee station. The Indian beach lot was another 2 miles away, but the lot was full, so we never got to go there. Ecola point is totally worth visiting. The views are spectacular. You can see Haystack Rock and Cannon Beach along with many other giant rocks rising out of the ocean. There are several picnic tables and one covered shelter along with some decent restrooms. The views along the coastline reminded me of Hawaii. It is truly a beautiful place and great for some spectacular photos.

My family and I LOVE coming here. We are lucky enough to live just over an hour away, so we come here quite often. Usually it's to check out the tide pools and look for sand dollars. The hiking trails are awesome too!

Really fun hike with great views. Also the beach is nice and a little more secluded than most. My wife calls it super cool
