Welcome to the official page for Econofoods of Wahpeton. Started by a vision from Joe Lueken, Econo has been serving the Wahpeton Breckenridge community since 1986. In 2013, it became an ESOP (employee stock ownership program) store thanks to Joe's generosity and continues to flourish under the plan. With the 2014 additions of the gas station & c-store (Econo Express) and liquor stores (Econo Wine & Spirits and Chucks Off Sale) in 2011, it has now become a one stop shop for customers who can shop the several areas of the store, including bakery, deli, produce, meat, dairy/frozen among the general merchandise and grocery departments. There is also a health food section and a pharmacy (Thrifty White) for customer convenience.
