EcoVivarium was amazing. Our tour guide Maddie was very knowledgeable and extremely passionate about all the animals we encountered. The level of love and care that the animals get is evidenced by their amazing dispositions. Animals that are known for being defensive and difficult can be handled with ease at EcoVivarium. I will definitely be returning every time that I am in the San Diego area!
This place is great and the price is awesome for the experience. My son had a great time and our tour guide sorry forgot her name! was extremely nice and knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend.
This place is great to visit, take your kids, my husband and I, not a reptile people and our kids other hand loves them, so this was our 1st experience touching reptiles and petting them. Stuff was very kind, well educated and friendly with children. Animal looks clean and well taken care of. Never thought in my life I will feel comfortable petting a snake , definitely will visit again and you should visit too. Can’t beat their prices for tour. Very reasonable!
This place is amazing. They care so much for all of the rescued animals here. Myself and my daughter got to get up close and personal to some very exotic animals. Phenomenal.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entry$16–20
What a great place. How lucky is Escondido is to have them as a resource. We had a surprise visitor Savannah Monitor Lizard show up on our patio. We trapped it and brought it to them. They graciously guided us on what to do and not do. They were so excited and welcoming to Dexter...later to find out Dexter was a female and would be called Dexie. They are non profit and run off donations. Staff/volunteers and owner were all friendly. Really an asset to Escondido and SD in general.... especially when so many irresponsible pet owners turn their pets loose to the wild once they've outgrown them . Visit. Volunteer or donate!!
We discovered EcoVivarium when my daughter said she wanted to hold snakes and other reptiles for her birthday. Donny was assigned our host during our scheduled private tour. He was an incredibly informative and patient guide. He handled the random questions and wandering of attention like the pro he is. The final reveal of the last animal we saw was pretty darn amazing. I'm an organizational fanatic so the set up of the reptile cages left me wanting to help the non profit in that way. For those who aren't used to reptiles, be prepared for the smell. It's not bad, just not what you're probably used to. However, the good things the EcoVivarium is doing is beyond what can be encapsulated in this review. Your donations and visit are definitely worth it!
Had an amazing time at Eco Vivarium! The snakes, big or small, were nothing short of just fascinating. The various lizards and turtles were adorable! Susan and her team are amazing people, their love for the animals shows how much of a family they are together. This is a must visit place! Thank you tons for the tour.
I took my son here today and we had a blast. We only came to Escondido because of this place! Our tour guide, Shelly, was so knowledge and caring about the reptiles. And she answered all of my sons many questions. Holding the reptiles was incredible.
Fun and interactive place to all reptile lovers. We had fun here!Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entry$16–20
The place is a little bit underwhelming outside but when you get inside you will be greeted warmly by the host and in no time you will have one of the closest encounter with reptiles and amphibians! An experience not even the zoos can give because in this place, you can touch and snuggle with reptiles under the supervision of friendly faculty. Enjoy the pictures!
