There are a lot of things that I love about Luxi. Every time I have called I have been able to get an appointment whenever needed, even same day. It's a big, clean salon with a mostly friendly staff. However, my most recent experience has me questioning if I will ever go back again. I realize this is a crazy long review but I just want to let others know to be aware!

I called at around 10am on a Monday to make a 5pm appointment, and the person I spoke to said sure, no problem, see you then and asked for my name. When I walked in for my appointment, on naturally the busiest day I'd ever seen there, I was told that my name hadn't been written down and began the over half an hour wait to have my nails done. Multiple people worked on my nails and I was moved from one station to another over the course of my "appointment".

I had recently heard that Luxi got the "chrome" nail finish and wanted to try it out. So when I was asked what color I told the woman doing my nails that I wanted a sheer pink with chrome on top. Right then, I should have been informed that the chrome finish was extra- since it's fairly new and I had no way of knowing. But I was not informed. 

When I walked up to pay the woman behind the counter ask the woman that did my nails how much to charge. Shouldn't she know? And shouldn't there be a fixed price for these things? My normal $30 gel manicure became a $45 one and the polish was already on! I feel like it was unprofessional and sneaky to not be upfront about this new finish's pricing, and I don't have the same level of trust in this business as I did before this experience. It's perfectly ok to charge extra for something, every single customer should be made aware and have the right to choose! I'm so disturbed that I felt forced into paying For something that I'm not sure I can go back! If you do go, Make sure you ask about everything you want BEFORE it's on your nails!

The technicians all perform wonderful massage pedicures, you'll never want it to end! The facilities are the cleanest around, making every visit relaxing, comfortable and a great experience.
