This building used to be a decent school. However, when I was there, the vast majority of teachers were not helpful and/or did not appear to care as much as they should have. The math department --except at the sixth grade level-- does not do a good job teaching in general, but especially in preparing those in eighth grade taking either Algebra 1 or Geometry. The school's principal seems painfully disinterested in the desires of the students, including those that reach out to her personally. Finally, the school is turning into a containment building for overgrown elementary school kids, rather than a facility to aid in the growth and preparation of young adults who will soon enter high school. The staff seems to think that by perpetually placing bans on any activities or objects that they do not want to deal with, they can create mature and developed human beings. However, the opposite is true, and as the school continues to place bans on just about everything (i.e. dabbing, water bottle flipping, Shrek), and even denies the children the freedom to stand and walk around the cafeteria at lunch time, the students are becoming more immature, rather than growing up.
