About JERSEY CITY'S FAVORITE NEIGHBORHOOD GYM! Story CLASS SCHEDULE GROUP BOXING...Mon 8 pm, Wed 8 pm,Sat 8:30 am YOGA...Mon 7 pm, Wed 9am, Fri 9am, Sat 8:05 am, Sun 10am Formerly known as Marciano's Gym, the WBG was established in 1991 exclusively as a boxing facility. Since its debut under the leadership of Rocky Marciano's brother, this location has been the training ground for countless boxing legends. Our resident fighter is champion Tomasz Adamek who is trained by reputable boxing coach Roger Bloodworth. After dominating in both the Light Heavyweight and Cruiserweight Divisions, Adamek is working his way through the Heavyweight ranks. With an impressive career of 49 wins (which equals Rocky Marciano's career win total) and 2 losses, he is scheduled to fight on November 16th for the #2 ranking in the IBF. The WBG has also supported the careers of Andrew Golato, Arturo Gatti, Michael Moore, trainer Tony Atlas, and even for a time, Mike Tyson. Since its early days as just a boxing facility, the WBG has expanded to provide for a more typical gym experience. In addition to an extensive amount of boxing equipment, we have cardio machines, free weights, classes, massage and tanning. Everyday Jersey City residents work out beside boxing history in the making. So if you're looking for a unique fitness experience free of unnecessary fees, overcrowding, and parking anxiety, WBG is the place for you. Our classes include Yoga, Zumba, and Boxing/MMA.
