About Founded in 1872, the mission of the Collinsville Fire Department is to promote a safe community by providing superior service to our citizens and visitors. Story From two stations, the Fire Department currently provides service to approximately 26,000 full-time residents and many thousands more visitors each year within the City limits and to the residents of our Fire District. The Collinsville Fire Department responds to approximately 3500 incidents, each year, within our 26 square mile coverage area with two engines, one 75’ ladder truck, three ALS units and one command vehicle. Mission Founded in 1872, the mission of the Collinsville Fire Department is to promote a safe community by providing superior service to our citizens and visitors. The Department accomplishes its mission through fire prevention and public fire safety education, fire suppression, rescue, hazard mitigation, and advanced life support services.
