About Family Pet Medical Center Story Established in 2007 (formerly known as Stockman's Pet Clinic), Family Pet Medical Center provides companion animal internal medicine and surgery, wellness care, boarding, grooming, and emergency services for our clients. We also provide equine ambulatory services (farm calls, wellness, and emergency care). Dr. Kimberly Shimkat is a 1995 graduate of the Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine and has been in practice at the same location for 15 years.
