About We're an informal group working to improve Escondido's downtown park. Note: this page is run by employees of the Escondido History Center, not the City. Story Grape Day Park includes playstructure Vinehenge (built by Nature Works, Valerie Salatino and Nancy Moran designers/artists), restrooms, picnic tables, wi-fi, horseshoe pits, giant games to check out, rose garden, military tribute, and children's tile art wall. Attractions include the Escondido History Center, California Center for the Arts, Escondido, City Hall and foundtain and the James A Stone.
