About We are a non-profit visual arts community center that was established in 1913. We are home to Edwards Place, a historical house museum. Story SAA is home to many activities for all ages in the Art School for classes, workshops and camps; Historic Edwards Place for tours and events; Michael Victor II Art Library for book loans and scholarly presentations; Art Outreach, a free regional school resource; Art Gallery for local and national artist exhibitions. We host festivals year round from the Edwards Place Fine Art Fair to the Molly Schlich Film Series. Mission The Springfield Art Association (SAA) a community based, non-profit organization*, promotes and supports the visual arts, provides art education opportunities for the greater Springfield area, and preserves and interprets historic Edwards Place and the collections of the SAA. * SAA is a non profit tax exempt organiztion organized pursuant to IRS code 501(c)(3).
