About We are there when you need us.... Story Stevens Funeral Home, formerly known as Bethany Funeral Home, was established in 1980 by Thurman Duncan to serve the Lovington community. Chris and Wanda Stevens, along with Danny Funchess, purchased the local home in 2001. Bethany Funeral Home was then renamed the Stevens-Funchess Funeral Home. Later, in 2008, Stevens Funeral Home was purchased by Legacy Funeral Group. Chris Stevens remained in Lovington and continued managing Stevens Funeral Home. In 2012, the Stevens decided to move closer to family and friends. Stevens Funeral Home is currently under the management of Craig Schatz. The Legacy of Stevens Funeral Home continues a heritage of service for Southeastern New Mexico. Stevens Funeral Home is a part of the Lovington Community that is structured to serve the community in a fashion that is dependable, respectful, honest, compassionate, and professional."Kemp and Stevens has been providing services within the local area for over 120 years.At Kemp & Stevens we are able to offer you a personal service that will ensure that you can arrange the funeral to meet your own individual requirements.
