About Welcome to the Un-Official Facebook Page for the Prince George's County Fire/EMS Department Co. 838 - Chapel Oaks! Story This page is dedicated to the men and women of Company 838 - past, present and future firefighters. Company 838 is a combination fire house, meaning we have career and volunteer firefighters serving the residents and guests of Fairmount Heights, Maryland. We are comprised of 32 career staffed firefighters, 1 Station Captain, 3 Station Lieutenants, 4 Firefighter/Paramedics, 24 Firefighter/EMT-Bs and the volunteer membership/ This station houses 1 Engine, 1 Ladder Truck, 1 Paramedic Ambulance and 1 BLS Ambulance. We cover not only Fairmount Heights, but also Landover (846), Kentland (833), Capitol Heights (805), District Heights(826), Seat Pleasant (808), Ritchie Marlboro (837) and Springdale (806); all stations which comprise the 1st Battalion of the Prince George's County Fire Department's response area. Company 838 is also responsible for protecting travelers and commuters on I-495, I-295, Kenilworth Ave (Rt. 201), Central Ave (Rt. 214) and Martin Luther King Highway (Rt. 704).
