About "Love and Service in God's Community" Story Ashland began from the Dutch Fork Mission of 35 committed "missioners" from Salem, Union, and Virginia Wingard United Methodist Churches. Since its first meeting in the Seven Oaks School on March 6, 1977, the mission continues to evolve from the firstpeople who worshiped together on that morning. Today our community provide outreach programs to adults, senior citizens, youth, and families in the extended St. Andrews area of northwest Columbia, SC. Mission A United Methodist Congregation whose purpose, as a community of faith, is to worship and serve God, living and spreading the Gospel of His love to the church family and the world, in Christ's name
