About Temple Beth Tikvah is a Reform Jewish congregation with a commitment to a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere, inspiring worship, youth and adult education, and meaningful social justice activities. Story Temple Beth Tikvah is a Reform Jewish congregation made up of people from diverse backgrounds, levels of observance, Jewish literacy, family structures, political points of view and economic status. We have formed a congregation which we view as our Jewish family on the Connecticut Shoreline. We value, take pride in and respect the diversity within our family and embrace our many non-Jewish members. We have developed contemporary traditions reflecting our times and our very special shoreline ambiance. Since TBT would be the only synagogue within the area, its founders envisioned policies, rituals, and practices accommodating the diversity of Jews increasingly populating the shoreline. TBT serves as the focus of Jewish Community life on the shoreline. We are proud of our Nursery and Religious Schools and our extensive programming for Jews in all the stages of life. Our worship experiences are traditional, creative and intellectually stimulating. We are conveniently located near I-95, in the heart of the New Haven – Old Saybrook shoreline of Connecticut.
