About Community Financial Literacy is a leading organization in financial education for Maine refugees and new immigrants. This is the only organization working in Lewiston and Greater Portland to improve their financial lives. Mission Community Financial Literacy’s mission is to empower, through education and counseling,members of refugee and immigrant communities to invest in themselves to build financial stability, careers, businesses and wealth. Products Classes Offered: -Basic Money Managment in America -Savings to Build Wealth -Microfinance One-on-One Financial Counseling College Access Counseling including navigating the FAFSA, applying for college and comparing financial aid offers, scholarship searches and Next Gen accounts. *All services are provided at no cost to participants.
