The setting of our historic country cabins is on the edge of a little valley, nestled in the pines, with the mountains and Black Hills National Forest rising directly behind. History abounds the cabins some of which were once on the site of the Harney Peak Tin Mining and Mfg. Co., in the 1880's. We are a small family business, just under one mile from the friendly mountain town of Hill City where you will find excellent dining, churches, shops, art galleries, groceries, gas, laundromat, and entertainment year around. There are nice lakes with beach areas within seven miles for water fun. The George S. Mickelson Trail (rails to trails) runs parallel to us and can be accessed in Hill City at the Burlington Northern Trailhead at Tracy Park, less than a mile from Pine Rest Cabins.
