About Family owned and operated for three generations. 70,000 Square foot showroom in Ann Arbor. Story Irving H. Tyner loved merchandising. In 1944, he pursued his dream by purchasing Smith Furniture Company in Ypsilanti. As demand increased, Mr. Tyner expanded by building a warehouse on Michigan Avenue in Ypsilanti. The warehouse would eventually include a store front. In 1957, Tyner Furniture opened on Michigan Avenue. Fast forward to today, Mr. Tyner's family is actively involved in the business.
