About Legends and Lore of the Superstition Mountains and surrounding area. Story The museum houses a collection of memorabilia, artifacts, art work and minerals, along with an impressive collection of mining equipment, some of which was donated by Phelps Dodge. Our 12 acre site is home to the Apacheland Barn and the Elvis Memorial Chapel, buildings that once were at the Apacheland Movie Ranch. Mission Our mission is to collect and preserve the history and legends of Arizona's Superstition Mountains and the surrounding areas. We support research and education devoted to these endeavors. Products Collectible Native American Jewelry and pottery, many handcrafted gift items "Made in the USA", the best book selection in the East Valley, postcards, t-shirts, maps, and many unique collectibles.
