Mission The purpose of the Texas Seaport Museum is to identify, collect, preserve, and interpret artifacts, skills, and cultural manifestations which demonstrate the nature of maritime commerce and the seafaring legacy of Texas and the gulf coast. The ongoing restoration, maintenance, operation, and interpretation of the 1877 iron barque ELISSA will remain a central component of the museum. Products Visit the Texas Seaport Museum, home of the 1877 Tall Ship ELISSA, 1937 Shrimp Boat Santa Maria and harbor tours aboard our tour boat Seagull II. Open 7 days a week, 10am-5pm.
