About Arlington Alive is local arts organizations, businesses, town officials, and supporters working together to celebrate and promote our creative economy. Mission In June 2012, when Arlington arts organizations, businesses, town officials, and supporters got together to brainstorm new ways to celebrate and promote our creative economy, Arlington Alive was born! The Arlington Committee on Tourism and Economic Development (ATED) and Arlington Center for the Arts (ACA) were key participants of that meeting which was hosted and facilitated by the Arlington Cultural Council (ACC). A grant provided by the ACC provided the seed funding for the Summer Arts Block Party, coordinated by ATED and ACA with help from the Regent Theatre. We hope the success of this event will keep the momentum going to create even more collaborative opportunities to celebrate the arts in Arlington.
