Mission Our mission is to prepare individuals with developmental or other cognitive disabilities for employment in baking and related industries through skilled, on-the-job training. Products Our trainees work with dedicated volunteers and a professional pastry chef to produce high quality baked goods for businesses, organizations, and individuals in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area. Sweets of the Month Club: The Club works by subscription and provides monthly delivery of Sunflower's delicious baked goods directly to area schools and preschools for “kid-delivery” to your family. Please contact your child’s Parent Organization if you would like your school to participate. We would love for your school to be among the first to participate in our new program and support our trainees. And don’t forget, in addition to all the other great reasons to participate, the bakery will donate 10% of sales to your PTO. Email lisa@sunflowerbakery.org for more information.
