About A 1200-acre Preserve, a 10,000 square ft. LEED Platinum certified building, an education center, and a place for recreation. Story A 1200-acre Preserve, a 10,000 square ft. LEED Platinum certified building, 10 miles of hiking trails, 1,400 students on field trips per year and an education center for 3 year olds to college and masters degrees and everything in between. Swaner Preserve and EcoCenter were gifted to Utah State University in 2010. This helps to insure the proper preservation of the land and the ongoing education of the people on environmental issues.
