About We're a family friendly campground located within a short drive of Austin, in a beautiful area of Texas known for its history. See you soon! Story This KOA is a great destination for you and the kids. Take advantage of the new splash park with enough water to keep you cool all summer long, as well as a playground and large open-air pavilion. Add a beautiful swimming pool and hot tub, and you have a recipe for fun! The campground now has tent sites, so you can camp on the banks of the Colorado River. Enjoy the community patio with a grill and fire pit. Just blocks away, you'll find wonderful shops and restaurants in Bastrop's historic district. Explore miles of trails at Bastrop State Park and McKinney Roughs Nature Park. Choose from three nearby public golf courses. Spend the day on the Colorado River in a kayak, canoe or paddleboard (with shuttle service from the park). Visit during Race Week in November!
