Story Perhaps one of the most eco-friendly car washes on the planet. We also use warm water to wash cars which mixes with soap and cleans much better. Why are we eco-friendly? - We create warm water using our Solar Thermal panels. - We generate electricity using Solar PV panels. - We use organic soaps - We use VFD technology on all of our electric motors which consumes 50% less electricity then without and 50% less than car washes that use messy hydraulic equipment. - Using electric equipment means we never get oil spills which contaminates the washing equipment, and worse, the environment. - We use LED Lighting to reduce our energy consumption. - Our building is insulated with 4 inches of soy based foam insulation on the exterior walls, and 5" of foam insulation on the roof. - Computerized automation systems control lighting and climate control systems to ensure energy consumption is at its lowest based on occupancy and environmental conditions. - We don't use sand or salt to clear our drying area. Instead we have water tubes running underground to warm the area just enough to keep a non-icy surface. Salt and sand mixed in with water runoff is bad for the environment. Why are we safer than a handwash We utilize very soft foam similar to that of a wet suit. It is as soft as a marshmallow and cannot trap dirt like a sponge can. With every stroke of a sponge, you run the risk that the dirt trapped will act like sandpaper on your delicate paint finish.
