About:
About Dedicated to the study and appreciation of glassware made in America between 1890 and 1925. Something for everyone and it's FREE. Story A primary motivation for forming the Museum was to have a place to permanently house and display the glass collection and library of Peter Thomas and to continue to develop the collection with further acquisitions and to provide an educational venue for students, collectors, tourists and interested persons. There are currently over 11,000 pieces in the collection and the items represent glass articles made from the 1890’s until about 1925 which emphasize decorative techniques of ruby, amber and other staining, gold application and also enameling, etching and engraving. The Museum is located on the commercial floor of the River Towers condominiums, suite A4, at the corner of Hennepin Avenue and First Street South in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
