About We are a friendly Christian community located in the heart of Dryden, and serving the Dryden area! Story Vision Statement First United, Dryden is a vibrant Christian Church which exists to give glory to God in Jesus Christ. First United, Dryden is empowered and enabled by the Holy Spirit and therefore a growing community that offers Life-Giving worship which is welcoming and inclusive. We will provide an affirming family oriented fellowship and a sensitive pastoral care. We offer various types of ministries which include Sunday School program each Sunday, and Youths on Sunday afternoon. During the summer, we host a Vacation Bible School (VBS) each year. In 2013 there were over 50 children attended our VBS with many volunteers. There are 3 units of the United Church Women (UCW) that are active, and also a chapter of United Church Men (UCM). All Committees are active which include the Pastoral Care Committee and Outreach Committees. -------------------------------------- Rev. Hewitt T. Holmes is our new Minister, who is in the Admission process to be received into the Order of Ministry of the UCC. He has served in Jamaica as a minister since 2006. He comes to us from the United Church in Jamaica and the Cayman Islands with experience in the pastorate, administration and theological education. Mission The Mission of First United Church, Dryden is to: • GATHER as God's people, • GROW in faith, love and service, and • GO out and share the love of God. Products Sunday Service at 10:00 am, with Sunday School, followed by refreshments in the Fellowship Hall. Office Hours: Monday to Friday from 9:30 am till 12:30 pm - Use the side door on King Street.
