About Story WHAT WE BELIEVE Like most Baptist churches, the First Baptist Church of New London is self-governing and self-supporting. All decisions are made by the voting membership as a whole. The First Baptist Church of New London is a member of the American Baptist Churches/USA. As a Baptist church, we subscribe to no one particular creed, but recognize the individual’s responsibility to God for guidance in daily faith and practice. We endeavor to be in prayer for each other and to support the work of Christ through active participation in the life of the church. Mission The First Baptist Church of New London is a community of members and friends who share a common commitment to nurture personal and spiritual growth, working together to spread joy in the love of God through inspiring worship services, glorious music and dedication to continuous Christian education.
