About Ackerman's has achieved a world wide reputation for quality and integrity in the piano restoration, refinishing, and rebuilding industry. Put simply, we can repair any piano. Story Our passion for the last 40 years, since taking over the family's restoration shop is restoring pianos. Not just Steinway grand pianos, but all pianos. We believe in putting the same amount of care that would go into a Steinway into any piano that is a family heirloom, or a treasured instrument. If it is important enough for you to have us do the restoration, then it is as important to us to offer the same amount of quality workmanship as would go into any Steinway!
