About Abi's Azteca Bar and Grill, known for its traditional Salvadorian and Mexican dishes, has been serving Columbia pike since it opened in 1986 Story Abi Azteca Grill & Bar is a family owned and operated business. It opened it's doors to the public in August of 1986. the visionary Mr. Tony Lara and his wife Abigail Valle decided to take this challenge along with their children. The name was adopted after Mrs. Valle's nickname everybody who knows her called her Doña Abi. Mrs. Valle started by taking orders to make pupusas at her Arlington home from the Salvadorean community who missed their homeland cooking.She quickly got so popular among the Hispanic community that she decided to take her cooking to different places where the Salvadorean and Hispanic community gathered to play soccer on the weekends.
