About Largest co-op gallery in the United States with three floors of local art. Story Founded in 1973, Quayside Gallery is one of the oldest and largest member-owned art galleries in the United States. It was constructed in 1878 as the Germania Steam Fire Engine and Hose Company. All exhibiting artists are juried into the gallery under stringent standards. We feature new art shows every month on our main level and our artists are constantly showing new work throughout the remainder of the gallery. Art workshops are periodically sponsored for members and the public.
