About The Friends of the Whitman Public Library is a volunteer organization that promotes, advocates for, and supports the Library. Story The Friends of the Whitman Public Library is a volunteer organization that promotes, advocates for, and supports the Library. Membership is open to any person interested in the purpose of this organization, upon payment of dues. Meetings are held the second Wednesday of each month at 6:30 PM in the Community Room at the Library. Mission The Friends of the Whitman Public Library provide the funding for almost all library programming–events which would not be possible without this support.
