About An annual tradition, the 2017 Eastern Idaho State Fair runs from September 1 - 9. Visit our Website, www.funatthefair.com. Story This year’s theme, BIGGER IS BETTER, calls attention to our new opening day of the Fair – Friday, September 1 - making 9 days of fun and happiness! Take advantage of the extra day to find entertainment, food, and fun throughout the fairgrounds. The "Opening Day" parade will continue to be held on Saturday, September 2 at 10 am. The Fair ends with a bang on Saturday, September 9 with the Demolition Derby. Fairgoers can expect to find high quality entertainment all week long. A 16 County Fair which includes - Bannock, Bear Lake, Bingham, Bonneville, Butte, Caribou, Clark, Custer, Franklin, Fremont, Jefferson, Lemhi, Madison, Oneida, Power, and Teton.
